BIO:
Hey y'all, I'm Madeleine (or Maddie) — and if you're here, something about your relationship with alcohol or substances has probably been on your mind. Maybe you're not sure it's "bad enough" for therapy. Maybe you've tried quitting and it didn't stick, or you don't want to quit at all — you just want things to feel different. You're in the right place.
My practice is built on harm reduction, which means you set the goal: moderation, abstinence, or simply understanding your patterns with more curiosity and less shame. I've spent over a decade doing this work, and I know that lasting change starts with feeling safe enough to be honest — including about the parts that are hard to say out loud.
Together we'll look at what's happening now and gently trace where these patterns began, often in old anxiety, trauma, or relationships that taught you to cope the best way you could. Clients tell me they appreciate my transparency, practicality, and sense of humor. I blend motivational interviewing, DBT, somatic work, and attachment-based care into something that feels like a real conversation, not a protocol.
I offer virtual therapy for adults in CA, CO, OK, and WI, and I also support partners and family members worried about someone they love.
Reach out for a free consultation — no pressure, just a chance to see if we fit. I look forward to connecting!
