HARM REDUCTION THERAPISTS IN CALIFORNIA
Membership in CAHRT is not just a directory listing. It is a professional home.
CAHRT is a professional community for harm reduction therapists in California. Learn about membership, what's included, and how to apply to join our network of clinicians.
Join CAHRT
If you practice harm reduction therapy, or harm reduction-informed care, and you've sometimes felt like you were doing it without a community around you, CAHRT was built for that.
We are a volunteer-led network of psychologists, licensed marriage and family therapists, social workers, substance use counselors, coaches, and other clinicians who share a framework and a commitment. We meet, refer to each other, support each other's work, and show up for the clients who have been failed by other approaches.
Two ways to be part of CAHRT.
Meter providers (full members)
Meter providers are fully committed CAHRT members who are active in the organization. They are listed in the main provider directory, participate in quarterly networking, and are involved in the ongoing life of the community. Meter membership is for licensed clinicians actively practicing harm reduction therapy in California.
What meter membership includes:
-
Full profile listing in the CAHRT provider directory with specialty tags, credentials, and contact information
-
Access to the locked member resources section including training materials and consultation docs
-
Quarterly Zoom networking with harm reduction providers across California
-
Peer referral network, members refer to each other and attempt to match clients to the best fit
-
CAHRT member badge to display on your own website
-
A professional community of colleagues who practice the same approach and speak the same language
Supporting providers
Supporting providers are clinicians who align with harm reduction principles and want to be connected to the CAHRT network without the full commitment of meter membership. They are listed in the supporting providers directory and may participate in networking.
